We just use the entry of 2nd floor as a bird entry hole. We use brick to build a 4 feet high wall from the bottom.
我们直接用二楼的进口处当进鸟洞。只是从地上砌起砖块至四尺高。
The second part is cover the outside entry hole. (because I haven't take the photo yet)

My 2 sens opinion,
Do u feel difficult for birds to fly down to lower floor??.

Sifu said, the new bird will fly to upper floor first, bcos threre is a roving room, then the lower external sound will attract them to fly down.
Now, bird nest at lower and upper floor is same.
